Rare Vintage 1970s Aimpont Red dot (first commercially available red dot)

Really cool retro optic that is still very practical today. 
The aimpont MKIII was the 3rd iteration of the aimpont electronic which was the first electronic rifle optic. 
These things are bomb proof and this one holds zero perfectly. 
The glass is clear and there’s no major blems or damage. 
These usually run on  discontinued mercury battery but I have it rigged up to run on modem affordable batteries and they basically last forever. 

This mounts to your standard 1913 picatinny rail on all your modern guns like any other optic and the mounts are adjustable for length  to fit whatever. 
These are great for hunting rifles, tactical shotguns or of course tactical rifles. 
These are particularly cool when put on an older Milsurp rifle for a cool retro build.
