Avon FM12 Gas Mask (size 2) w/ 2 filters

Avon FM12 gas mask. British made successor to the S10 gas mask and current issue gas mask to several nations. This example was produced in 2009 (see stamping on side of mask) and is size 2 (which fits 95% of users per Avon).

I used it a few times for LARP and to make drills/cardio suck more. But it came clean from surplus and hasn’t seen the inside of a gas chamber, police tear gas deployment, or other such CBRN attack in the time I’ve owned it.

Included with the mask are 2 Czech made OF-90 filters produced by Sigma (Protection Level: A2B1E1P3 D R). One is still in its packaging unopened, but the vacuum seal on the bag has failed. It is also expired. The other was used for the aforementioned LARPing in non-CBRN environments, and breathability through it is still excellent. So both can be used for training purposes, and are in great condition overall, I can’t guarantee their condition in terms of serious CBRN threat protection.

• 40mm NATO filter compatibility – accepts standard NATO thread pattern filters (left or right side configurable for left or right handed shooters).
• 6-point harness system - 4 lockable straps, with 2 quick fastening straps. Allows you to get a good fit configured in advance and still don/doff quickly.
• Integrated drinking tube - compatible with CBRN canteens.
