Blades are forged from farriers rasp, heat treated and tempered and hair popping sharp, polished as much as I am going to, carbon steel about a 1095 equivalent, 58-59 RCH, still have file marking 

Sheaths are recycled saddle leather so it has random marks or holes, veg tanned. plenty heavy
