ANTIQUE (no PAL) Pristine Solid Frame Revolver by A. Fagnus & Son, shoots .44 Russian (.455 Webley/.45 ACP rechambering possible)

This circa 1880s Fagnus solid top frame double action revolver, chambered for .450CF in single and double action is the most pristine example of any revolver of this type I have ever come across. Can load and shoot .44 russian because .450 is scarce, and it works great. Another option is to rechamber for .455 Webley/.45 ACP/.45 Auto rim if you prefer that, which I can have my smith do for $350. The Belgian father-son gun makers Albert and Alexandre Fagnus were known for their very innovative designs such as the Fagnus-Spirlet top break winning over many collectors with unique and elegant mechanisms. As a pre-1893 antique (proven by Liege proof) this handgun can be bought and owned without registration or other meddling if you are over 18. Antique ammo can be purchased online or and I could sell a couple cylinders worth of ammo to get started with PAL.

This revolver is in outstanding shape, with the action functioning exactly as intended in single and double action. Over 135 years old and still exactly as it was when it left the factory, the internals are in SHINY mint shape showing original machine polishing marks and easy to access with no tools with the incredible side lever design. The design is great for maintenance and cleaning in the field to get rid of gunk, but this one has almost definitely never been dirty before showing evidence of amazing care. This piece of history will have no problems living for another century or two still.

All original marks are present and strong with original finish. She reads "Acier Fondu" and serial 17xxx. The surface looks almost original with shiny finish and overall no pitting or major scratches. The rifling is STRONG with very defined lands and grooves.
