Reluctantly placing my Webley up for sale to help me buy another rare piece. No PAL required, no ownership transfer. This is a pre-1898 antique firearm and may be legally owned and discharged anywhere a non-restricted firearm is permitted, in accordance with Canadian law. With this you can go shoot some cans off a log like in the good old days!

Credit to Old Guns Canada for the following history lesson:
The "MP" model with the iconic "manacled hands" logo was another of Webley's famous marketing ploys. Like the RIC, named for the Royal Irish Constabulary, the MP was named in honour of the London Metropolitan Police, although the model was also widely sold to both private customers, as well as other police departments. This one is actually marked "police", and has a rack number of 739 on the right side. Perhaps a former London Police side arm.

This one is in very fine condition as restored.

There is an old re-blue apparent, fading to a brown patina on the barrel and frame. The markings are still mostly crisp and legible. The action is flawless, excellent and tight, and the cylinder indexes and locks up with ZERO play. The bore of the 2 1/2 inch barrel is excellent and bright, with sharp rifling. The screw slots are almost all undamaged, with one of the trigger guard screws having a slight mar.
The serial number on the frame and on the cylinder match. The gun is chambered for the 450 Webley cartridge but chambers and fires a .455 Mk II cartridge as well. The walnut grip is excellent and undamaged except for one or two tiny dings here and there, showing sharp checkering and excellent varnish. SN 86060, rated very fine as restored.

One thing to note that wasn’t mentioned to me before I bought it;  the small screw that prevents the ejector rod from being fully removed from the housing is missing, so the ejector rod walks out as you fire the gun. The threads appear undamaged in the hole, so the housing simply requires another screw to fix that small problem.
I have a video of the gun being fired with my smokeless .455 mkII handloads for anyone interested.
$4100, shipping and RCMP FRT printout included. Insurance extra.
