Selling my first ever firearm. It's an arsenal rebuild Russian SKS. It's a threaded large-lug rifle. It is my first and I considered it my "holy grail" as a new collector. I've since come to possess some beautiful non-refurb unissued soviet warehouse imports as well as low-production variants. No need for this old war horse.
There's not much to report on this one. It's an arsenal rebuild, so some of the parts do not match the receiver. I bought this from an enthusiastic collector at the Thompson Mountain Sportsmen Association. I've owned this for many years, but have only fired about 200 rounds through it. I bought a Chinese SKS as well at the time to keep this one "low mileage".
It runs like a champ and is sighted in perfectly. I shoot this reliably to 200 meters. I'd stretch it out further, but my range only goes to 200m. It is surprisingly accurate even with old corrosive surplus. The barrel is bright and clean as I always cleaned it thoroughly. Included is a genuine Russian military-issue SKS sling. You just can't beat an SKS for value and fun.
Soviet SKS are retailing for $750 before shipping taxes.
I'm asking $650 cash all-in. Turn-key and ready to bang. No trades.
I can ship across Canada, but expect it to be slow and expensive. New Canada Post job action has made a mess of the postal service.
