Remington 788 243 with scope

Selling a used Remington model 788 in 243 wins, 22inch barrel. It comes with a Leupol VX1 3x9-40 matte finish scope.  The gun only comes with one factory mag. 

OK the Good 

It is a 788 with a very good bore, no rust or pitting on the barrel/ receiver and the bluing is very strong.

 The crown is not all marked up and still retains most of its bluing. Mind you, it does have some light marks.

OK the Bad

The stock has been refinished but was not removed from the action. So the barrel channel top corners and around the receiver still have remains of the old finish. The butt plate is not the right one and does not fit 100%. The underside of the stock had, I guess, another sling stud installed at one point and filled (you will see in picture 7). Also, both sling stud holes were never installed properly. So they have a couple of small chips and a little piece missing around the front one.  They both still hold tight no issues.

 I am the 3rd owner so, I have been told. The round count is unknown, but I say not that many at all.

As for the Leopold VX1 3x9-40 scope, it has a good 8 to 10 little marks, most on the bells, but yes, some on the tube and caps. All with rubbing or finish loss. Glass is good 

 Not much else to say. As always, I do my best to point out all the things that catch my old eye.  

 Also, the gun was shot today with no issues.
