Three band Snider Enfield Mark II* Lock plate dated 1864. Good overall condition including the bore. The firing pin is missing and it looks like a percussion nipple has been substituted. I am including a firing pin with the deal but it’s not in good shape, kind of a relic. Barrel is 36 and one half inches long. The rear sight is missing the top groove of the leaf sight. Other than that everything looks to be in working order.
I have never fired this rifle, so as with any gun if you intend to shoot it, it would be a good idea to get it checked out by a knowledgeable gunsmith.
