Well, first of all a rant! Bought this recently from IMA in the US because of the description of its condition. “Misleading” would be a charitable statement to say the least.
Pitting at the end of the barrel, a flip up site that has definitely been recently soldered on & a chunk of wood out of the heel of the stock that I believe was done in their warehouse before it was shipped. IMA don’t care…so a lesson learned.
Now, that being said a great looking piece of history and well made for a Nepalese copy for use in India.
The two grooves are still there but worn & the lock is strong in half and full cock…and yes, it shoots remarkably accurately!
I don’t have any belted ball at the moment, so used round ball of a similar diameter. I tried 3 ball at a reduced load for safety and then 3 using a full “combat load”. Metal and wood were checked after each shot. Everything was tight and secure.
I understand I’m not going to get back what I spent, so I’m looking for $950 OBO SHIPPED.
I can send more pics.
No PAL required as it’s an antique, but must be over 18.
Thanks.
