Selling a classic Husqvarna Model 640 bolt-action rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. This rifle was built in Sweden by Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB sometime in the early 1950s. This is one of the desirable early export Husqvarna rifles combining Swedish barrel and stock craftsmanship with the legendary controlled-round-feed Mauser 98 action.
For the age the rifle is in great overall shape for an antique, only some normal scuffs and scratches from handling over time. It has screw missing for the stock buttpad.
*NOTE* The metal flange To engage and Disengage the Safety, broke in half. (See last photos) It still functions. Only I have a rope looped to engage it, or use a ring or anything to get under it to engage it.
The scope is a Weaver K4 4x38 from the 50s
24" sporting barrel in great shape for its age, shooting very accurate. The Classic European walnut stock in good shape aside from a few scuffs.
