Description

For the advanced collector who demands absolute purity: an exceptionally rare, investment-grade German G.33/40 Mountain Carbine manufactured in 1940 under German occupation at the Brno factory.

Finding a G.33/40 is hard enough; finding a first-year 1940 production that escaped post-war sporterization, stock sanding, or parts swapping is nearly impossible in Canada. This rifle has survived in incredible, unmolested historical condition.

100% Serial Matching & Marking Integrity

Unlike the vast majority of secondary-market examples, this carbine features 100% all-matching serial numbers across both steel and wood components:

  • The Action & Steel: The receiver ring, barrel, and bolt body all carry the crisp, matching factory serial number 8066. The receiver rail is perfectly stamped G.33/40.
  • The Wood: The original blonde hardwood stock is completely unsanded, preserving its sharp factory geometry. The matching serial 8066 is deeply stamped into the spine of the buttstock.
  • Waffenamts: Razor-sharp, perfectly struck WaA63 inspection marks (correct for the Brno plant) and the German eagle-over-swastika proofs are crisp and prominent on both the receiver and the wood grain.

Features & Condition

  • Features the correct, ultra-smooth teardrop bolt handle and lightened receiver.
  • The original metalwork shows beautiful, honest age-appropriate patina with no reproduction parts.
  • Complete with the iconic steel mountain-climbing protective plate on the left side of the buttstock, original sight hood, and correct carbine nose cap.
  • The mechanical action is incredibly tight, and the bore is excellent.

Provenance & Transparency

Serious buyers understand the rarity of a completely matching first-year G.33/40. We can provide high-resolution photos of all individual component stampings, internal stock serials, and proof marks to verified, serious inquiries.
