Beautiful, transition period 1949 Winchester model 70, "The Rifleman's Rifle." Minimal surface handling marks on the stock, overall blueing on the metal is 90% (most fading on the front sight hood). The bore is shiny and the movement of the bolt in the action is super smooth.
The final digit of the serial number that is stenciled on the bolt is different from what is on the receiver (6 instead of an 8), which is likely a factory error and it does not impact the function of the rifle. It has been fired several times and the brass cases were checked after firing so no worries about headspace. Sub-MOA accurate rifle!
