Looking to sell an ex-Korean Springfield M1 Garand with leather sling and shipping included. Am open to offers and F2F deals as well.
The rifle appears to be of all American Springfield Armory parts:
Receiver D-28291-17 #810659 (Springfield September 1942)
Bolt D28287-12SA (Springfield WW2)
Barrel SA-4-51 (Springfield April 1951)
Op rod 7790722 SA (Springfield National Match)
Trigger housing 6528290-SA (Springfield post-WW2)
USGI stock with Springfield circled P cartouche on pistol grip
Overall condition of the rifle is quite good, experienced no issues with cycling, loading, extraction, and ejecting cases and clips. Action and trigger assembly seat very tightly in the stock with no movement when locked.
It is an ex-ROK Army Blue Sky import with an import mark on the barrel (throat reading 6, muzzle worn from cleaning rod use, presumably by ROK Army). I have not tested the accuracy. Has characteristic reparkerisation done on the external parts with black finish on internal parts and bolt on such imports.
The stock generally appears to be in good condition besides the usual aging and wear, and what appears to be a shallow repaired crack in the bottom area between the sling front swivel mount and the trigger assemble where the wood is thickest.
Impossible to say whether this rifle saw service in the Korean War, though the dates make it plausible I suppose.
Shipping included in price via CP with stock and trigger separated to avoid oversize charge from excessive length.
Happy to provide more photos as needed.
