What a cool and effective rifle. In like new condition, this Mossberg MVP Patrol has a compact 18.5" medium bull barrel chambered in 7.62 NATO, BUT can also fire any weight .308 Win cartridge as well. I know there is plenty of debate over whether a rifle chambered in one can fire the other, and generally it all comes down to the specs of the particular rifle. Well, to settle the debate on this one and before posting to sell, I contacted Mossberg support directly to confirm that either round can be fired effectively and, most important, safely. Mossberg confirmed the MVP can fire both 7.62 NATO and .308 Win using any size cartridge (I'm partial to 180 grain). See the last photo for confirmation via email.

The compact barrel is perfect for hiking while hunting, and the mounted iron sights make short range shots a piece of cake. The picatinny optic rail allows you to mount anything from a simple red dot to your favourite scope, including the included Tasco scope. Also mounted an adjustable cheek riser if you're particular to taller scope rings and want a level cheek rest.
