Berthier 1907/15 with excellent bore Mle 1907/15 Rifle all matching, sold with correct bayonet, with perfect fit.
Rifle has the letter "N" stamped on top of the receiver, signifies that the rifle has been modified to chamber and fire the Balle "N" ammunition.
This modification was introduced in the 1930s to handle a new, more powerful 8x50mmR Lebel cartridge, the Balle 1932 N, which was developed for machine guns but also used to update existing infantry rifles.
The receiver, stock, and trigger guard floorplate, bolt, are matching numbers. The bolt match is uncommon for these, I think this is the first Berthier I’ve seen with matching bolt.
