British Long Lee-Enfield No. I Mk. I*
BSA Co. 1901 | Boer War Era | .303 British
A scarce Long Lee-Enfield rifle manufactured by BSA in 1901, representing a Boer War era configuration.
This rifle retains the complete volley sight system, including the original volley dial on the stock and the long-range volley pointer at the front sight, a feature rarely found intact today.
Original Non-CLLE configuration:
No charger bridge and not converted to CLLE, retaining the original Long Lee-Enfield pattern.
Receiver and rear sight are matching. Bolt is non-matching, consistent with period military service replacement.
Caliber: .303 British.
Condition:
Handguard shows cracking (stable).
Left side of the stock has a repaired crack.
Strong rifling and all mechanical functions operate correctly.

Note
While all mechanical functions operate correctly and the rifle retains strong, sharp rifling,
no live fire test has been conducted due to its significant historical importance and collector value.
This rifle is best regarded as a collector and preservation piece, where its historical significance outweighs its shooting function.
If the buyer intends to fire this rifle, it is strongly recommended to have it inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to use.
