Up for sale is a first series type 99 Arisaka made at the nagoya arsenal, probably in 1941. Still chambered in the original 7.7 x 58mm. Overall good condition. It has all the features the early production rifles have inculding monopod, anti aircraft sights and a chrome lined bore. The dust cover is missing. The rifle is non matching. The chrysanthemum is intact. There are some dings on the left side of the butt stock, as well as a small repair on the right side of it. It includes an original non matching bayonet and scabbard. The bayonet was made at the tokyo arsenal. The bore still has sharp rifling. There is some shallow pitting in the bore near the throat, but I have shot this rifle multiple times with no issues. Still shoots accurately. The price includes shipping. If bought locally, I have 8 boxes of 7.7 ammo I would sell for 75 dollars each. I cannot ship the ammo. Cash in person or etransfer only, no trades. Price is firm. Valid pal required, I will need the pal number, date of birth and email address for the rcmp reference number. All sales are final.
