Winchester Model 9422 Circa 1974 ***Unfired***

Rifle is as new - no box or manual.  Somewhat of a unicorn as 52 year old rifle that appears to be unfired.  I purchased this rifle in March of 2024 and was stored since.  

Here is the copy of the original ad:  A doctor acquaintance of mine bought this gun new in 1975 and put it in a environmentally controlled cabinet.Not so much as a single shell chambered in it, it has, as you can see, amazing oiled wood, unmolested and it is as new as a 50 year old unfired winchester can be, no box or manual, takes 22 shorts, 22 longs and 22 long rifle.These are the finest 22 levers ever built and of course, it is a take down!!! Holds 21 short shells or 15 long rifles....This gun has a steel mag tube insert, very few of these have steel mag tube inserts, Winchester switched to brass shortly after production started.

***Note: It was just brought to my attention on the copy of the ad I posted he stated "it is a take down" - do not believe the 9422 was ever made as a take down?
