Remington made one of the best Mosin Nagant you can buy. Imperial Russia placed order to Remington for WWI rifle supply but lots of the Mosin rifles weren’t managed to get to the client before Soviet revolution took over the country. Most of them arrived in Finland eventually and used in winter war and continues war against Soviet Russia. This particular piece is marked 1917 like other Remington made Mosin rifles. Bolt and receiver matching. Stock was changed to Finnish 2 pieces wood stock. Normal handling marks all over and a crack on the handguard. Metal is in good shape for the age. Blue finish still in good shape. Front and back leather sling strap still present which is rare. Rifling is strong, not counter bored. See pics for details. Asking $1400, shipping on buyer if needed.
