By your own admission this problem would not be detectable with the stock installed. Not every problem transaction is rooted in intentional deception.
Purchased Hakim from Chris. The deal itself went well but I discovered that the barrel was bulged when I came home and stripped the rifle (on Hakim, it's not obvious with the stock installed). Initially, Chris agreed to take the rifle back but after a couple days of back and forth just blocked me. Now I'll have to spend ~400 bucks on rebarelling the rifle or sell it at a huge loss. 1/10.
