I have sold a revolver 44Magnum, Ruger Redhawk for $1000 back in late june and early july 2022. He gave me a deposit $200 and balance owed was $800 to be paid when transfer approved. I had asked him if he would pick up the revolver as he lived only about 80 kilometers from my house and he told me to ship it to him. On september 29, 2022 the transfer was approved and i received notification from chief firearm office of the provinve of Québec. I advised him to that effect. He later contacted me saying that he owed only $750 and that I would pay shipping which I refused. All of my adds are made the same way, YOU PAY SHIPPING. He then advised me by e-mail that he would report the revolver stolen and that it was his. That would be a false report and that is illegal. He did not pay for the gun, and he offered me to pay him his deposit and I would be stuck with the transfer of the revolver which would take about 4 months in these hard times for gun enthousiats. I had also offered him $750 to settle if he would pay shipping and he refused and theathened to make a report that I had stolen the revolver from him when he did not even pay for it. STAY AWAY FROM HIM !
