Seller sold an original Lee enfield with side on photos, a description as all matching, very good condition and follow up emails describing the same.
When dealing with the sale the seller was very quick to respond and communicate. What I actually received from him was an enfield that had been sporterised by someone taking a drill to the receiver in three places to fashion a poorly aligned scope mount. This work is ugly and completely ruins the surplus rifle’s originality. The value of this rifle is clearly a third or less of what an original would fetch and the price the seller received from me.
The condition was hidden due to the side on distance photos, absent from the description and in follow up emails asking if anything else about the rifle should be highlighted, ignored.
Within the hour of receiving the rifle I contacted the seller by the email he readily responded to me before he had my money and I followed up with a second later that evening. I requested that we split the postage to return the rifle to him and he refund me when he receives it. Both have gone ignored and there is no trace of Mike.
Mike mentioned he has a large collection of surplus and is selling more in the future. He knows surplus and it points to it being a deliberate way to sell a $300 rifle for $1000 and ghost the seller for a free $700.
In the unlikely event that Mike is simply unreachable for a while but rectifies this transaction I will remove this review. If this is still up then I have remained ignored and out of pocket. I will be exploring my options for the small claims court. Future buyers should stay way clear and instead wait for the casinos to reopen if they’re in the mood to gamble.

After a quick conversation I agreed to buy a rifle. They stopped responding to my messages and reposted the rifle at a higher price.

Great seller! Fast response and easy to deal with. Picked up an SKS from Mike and it was a smooth transition, would definitely deal with him again!
