Caplock Bess, truncated, transitional stock, Lock-plate almost identical to an Enfield P53 (devoid of markings) with the mainspring acting directly on the tumbler (no stirrup ?...) Some screws handmade, and others Whitworth. The barrel has both London and Birmingham proofs, if my eyes can be relied upon. All I know is that it cleaned-up great (lil heavy on the varnish Bob !) and will get the barrel checked as I really want to fire it !
Bob was amazing to deal with, as well as make arrangements, and also did his homework and research on this gun and got me the information to preserve the history of this amazing piece of history.
