Made plans to pick up a gun that he had rebarreled from a restricted to a non restricted. picked a date an entire month away, and made plans to take a ferry from vancouver island to the mainland, and pay for a hotel for the night before, as he insisted that he had to be leaving early in the morning. a month goes by, i keep in contact the entire time. the day comes (Jan 4th) and i take my car across on the ferry ($115 each way), pay for a hotel for the night ($120), set my alarm for 7:30 to make sure im awake and packed from the room on time. the morning of the meet comes, and as im sitting in my car, waiting to go meet this guy, at like 8:30 in the morning, he texts me and tells me that the RCMP hasnt cleared his paperwork, because he apparently gave them a week to do it, and expected them to get it done in a week, over christmas. says he is sorry and he will take the expenses off the cost of the gun to pay for the expense of the trip and wasted time. what else was i going to do, but just go home. honest mistake. stupid mistake, but an honest one.
its been about a month since then. still hasnt cleared, apparently. I texted him five days ago to tell him i was no longer interested because i had purchased another gun. still havnt heard a thing from him. saw he sold another gun on gunpost though...
