Winchester model 94 38-55 (1912)

I have a Winchester model 94 long barrel lever action chambered in 38-55 with the serial number dating it back to 1912. I’ve had trouble parting with it even though I don’t have any 38-55 ammunition as it was passed down to me but as time goes on and I get the itch for more practical rifles so I have decided to sell it. 

I have personally never fired it but the rifle for its age is in great condition I actually suspect it has been rarely fired as the rifling is in good condition and the loading gate has minimal to no wear. Now in saying that the blueing is not perfect but still strong and does have some marks the only part that does have some type of wear or damage is on the rear left side of the rear stock wood closest to the lever it is shown in the photos the stock is beautiful and very sturdy not sure what caused that mark.

As far as value goes I am listing it at $1800 as when I was at my last gun show I had showed it to someone who was selling lever actions and knows more about value and worth and he had offered me $2000, at the moment I did not want to part ways with it but upon further thinking I wish I had taken that offer and moved on. I am happy to send any more pictures that anyone wants or do in person showing the serial number for when it was manufactured is included in the photo.
