*reduced* Japanese Arisaka Type 38 Trainer (Long Rifle Variant)

Up for sale is what appears to be a Japanese Arisaka Type 38 trainer, long rifle configuration. I reached out to fellow collectors for identification, and while markings are limited, all visible serial numbers are “122.” This rifle likely served as a non-combat training model. It’s not meant to shoot projectiles- only blanks.

The chrysanthemum has been ground off, which is consistent with many post-war surrendered examples. There are no other arsenal or inspector marks visible.

• Includes an original dust cover, though it is heavily corroded and likely came from a different type 38 rifle.
• Cleaning rod is not included.
• Magazine is missing spring and follower.
• Metal finish appears to be original.
• Stock shows no signs of refinishing and retains an honest, vintage look.
