My first bad Gunpost experience. Not a huge loss but disappointing. The issues were; of three stocks described as “Swedish, one commercial, which alone is $160 at intersurplus, the other two Swedish military ”, the commercial stock’s tail was hidden in photo and when it arrived was missing (chunk absent off wood and buttplate say the size of a hazelnut in the shell). The other two are unidentified so far but do not fit 94,95,96,or 98 mauser. Also, these have been crudely gouged out maybe in an attempt to force fit. The barrel was described as “G to VG” but, after removing a thick layer of dried grease, dirt, bullet fouling ( in other words impossible to grade as you couldn’t see the bore), I would grade as “fair”. So basically I’m sorry I didn’t ask for many photos. I asked for return and was declined and told to sell these for a profit. But if accurately described I don’t think would be easily sold. I saved images and correspondence if anyone cares. Anyone good at identifying stocks? Please write.
I’ve not only bought and sold with Shane I’ve been a vender at the same shows Shane has sold at. He is a fair and honest gentleman to deal with very knowledgeable about his craft.
